About world clocks

What is a world clock?

Track time across every timezone

A world clock shows the current local time in multiple cities simultaneously. Unlike a single clock, it accounts for each city's timezone offset and daylight saving rules, so you always see the correct local time not just an offset calculation from your device. Timezzon anchors every clock to a server-side timestamp so the time shown is accurate even if your device clock is wrong.

How Timezzon keeps it accurate

Each city clock is initialised from a server-rendered UTC timestamp. The browser then ticks forward using performance.now() drift rather than the device clock. A background re-sync from /api/now runs every five minutes to correct any accumulated drift.
